Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs
For adults and youth who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs offer structured treatment while allowing patients to return home each day. These programs can help with ongoing symptoms, coping skills, medication support and the transition from inpatient care.
We also offer an IOP program designed specifically for Spanish-speaking patients. The program offers structured support in a setting that respects language, culture and each person’s recovery journey.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive treatment option for serious depression. It uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood and may be an option for people who have not found enough relief from medication alone. TMS is available at The Shores at Norwalk.
Electroconvulsive Therapy
Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is a safe, closely monitored treatment for severe depression and other serious mental health conditions available. It may be recommended when symptoms are severe or when other treatments have not worked well enough. The Shores provides ECT at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport.
