Welcome Center at The Shores

The Welcome Center at the Shores in Westport, provides streamline access to inpatient services for persons who are medically stable enough to safely bypass an emergency department. Our goal is to accommodate life’s challenges and busy schedules by scheduling an assessment appointment that connects you with care that fits your unique needs exactly when you need it.

When you call the Welcome Center, you’ll speak directly with a licensed behavioral health clinician.

During the conversation, you’ll complete a brief, confidential assessment to help us better understand you or your child’s needs. From there, we’ll guide you to the right next step.

That may include:

• Scheduling a in-person evaluation at The Shores within 24 hours
• Starting inpatient care the same day, when appropriate
• Connecting you to other services within Hartford HealthCare
